What is it?

The PriceQuote API lets you get a price estimate for a specific DHL shipment.

How does it work?

• You send shipment details (like product code, weight, addresses, and any extra services).
• If you have a DHL agreement, you need an e-ID to get your contract price Apply for a DHL e-ID.
• If you don’t have an agreement, you’ll get a gross (standard) price.
• The price you get is only an estimate and not a binding offer.

What do you need?

• e-ID (username/password) for contract prices.
• Shipment details: product code, payer code, weight, volume, number of pieces, sender/receiver info, and any extra services.
• Optionally, you can add your own surcharge (for example, a markup for your customer).

What do you get back?

• A breakdown of the price: freight cost, fuel surcharge, insurance, and any extra services.
• The calculation basis (like chargeable weight).
• The total estimated price.

Important notes:

• The API is for DHL Freight business customers.
• You need to register and get access before using it in production.
• The price is not a binding offer or contract.
